Since this afternoon the fossil case no longer holds a rare ammonite, but a neatly painted pebble instead. Four people walked through the museum hall that afternoon: Gus the lifeguard, Priya the librarian, Delia the harbourmaster, and Wendell who runs the Ferris wheel.
